How we handle your data

We comply with UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018 and FCA rules on data security. We collect only what we need to give you suitable mortgage advice.

How we look after it

What we collect

We collect personal details, income, employment, credit history, property information and anything else needed to assess your mortgage eligibility.

Why we use it

We use your data to research suitable lenders, submit applications, manage your case, and keep you informed. We do not sell your data to third parties.

Our lawful bases

We process your data under contract (to provide the advice you have asked for), legal obligation (record-keeping required by the FCA, HMRC and anti-money-laundering law), and legitimate interests (fraud prevention, security and improving our service). Special category data, such as health information for protection cover, is processed with your explicit consent. Where we rely on consent, including for marketing, you can withdraw it at any time.

Who we share it with

We share information only with lenders, solicitors, insurers and other parties directly involved in your mortgage transaction, and only with your consent.

How long we keep it

We keep your data for as long as required by law or as long as it is relevant to your advice. After that, it is securely deleted or anonymised.
